Overview

Origin Iran, format 300 × 198 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. That is roughly 5.94 m² of floor, about 9.8' × 6.5'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. Construction method: hand-knotted. Pile height is given as approx. 8 mm. Weight is given as ap. 18 kg.

How it reads

Colour is recorded as multicolour. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.

Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. Being recent, the pile shows little wear and holds its full height.
