Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 300 × 410 cm. It covers approximately 12.3 m², or 9.8' × 13.5'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool, silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.

Size and placement

The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
