Overview

Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 305 × 390 cm. The covered area is about 11.9 m² (10' × 12.8'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

What it is made of

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

How it reads

Colour is recorded as red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
