Origin Iran, format 156 × 210 cm — a Nain made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 3.28 m² (5.1' × 6.9'). Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.

Construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
