The piece in short

Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 113 × 75 cm. It covers approximately 0.85 m², or 3.7' × 2.5'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.

The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
