Origin Iran, format 135 × 200 cm — a Kashan made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 2.7 m², or 4.4' × 6.6'.

Construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.

Where it fits

The rug is rectangular. A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.

Colour and appearance

The stated colourway is red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.

Age and condition

Stated condition: approx. 100 years old.
