Origin Iran, format 200 × 315 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 6.3 m² (6.6' × 10.3'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: new wool, silk. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 700,000–799,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as Braun / Gelb. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
