Origin Iran, format 130 × 200 cm — a Kashan made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 2.6 m², or 4.3' × 6.6'.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. The format suits the space in front of a sofa, a small dining table, or a study.

Fineness of the knotting

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
