Origin Iran, format 200 × 130 cm — a Oriental rug made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 2.6 m² (6.6' × 4.3').

Construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as approx. 10 mm. Weight is given as ap. 10 kg.

The rug is rectangular. A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

Colour and appearance

The stated colourway is Weiß / beige. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
