Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 260 × 200 cm. It covers approximately 5.2 m², or 8.5' × 6.6'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as approx. 8 mm. Weight is given as ap. 16 kg.

Where it fits

The rug is rectangular. Large enough to hold a full seating group.

On the knot count

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

Colour and appearance

Colour is recorded as red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
