Overview

Origin Iran, format 60 × 94 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 0.56 m², or 2' × 3.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool, silk. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.
