A Tabriz from India, measuring 360 × 256 cm. That is roughly 9.22 m² of floor, about 11.8' × 8.4'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

Colour and appearance

Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
