Construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as approx. 10 mm. Weight is given as ap. 4 kg.

The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

Colour and appearance

Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
