Origin Iran, format 182 × 105 cm — a Qashqai made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 1.91 m², or 6' × 3.4'.

Materials and construction

Stated material: new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as approx. 10 mm. Weight is given as ap. 8 kg.

Size and placement

The rug is rectangular. A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.

Fineness of the knotting

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

Colour and appearance

Colour is recorded as multicolour. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
