Origin Iran, format 239 × 318 cm — a Loribaft made entirely by hand. That is roughly 7.6 m² of floor, about 7.8' × 10.4'.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

Format and use

At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.

Fineness of the knotting

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

How it reads

Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
