Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-woven throughout. Pile height is given as approx. 6 mm. Weight is given as ap. 6 kg.

Format and use

The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.

Weave

Because it is woven rather than knotted, the structure is flat and usable on both sides.

How it reads

Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.

Age and condition

Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. Being recent, the pile shows little wear and holds its full height.
