Overview

Origin Iran, format 71 × 91 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. The covered area is about 0.65 m² (2.3' × 3'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.
