Origin Iran, format 201 × 299 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. That is roughly 6.01 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 9.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

What it is made of

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

Where it fits

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.

On the colourway

It is catalogued under red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
