A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 78 × 130 cm. The covered area is about 1.01 m² (2.6' × 4.3'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.

Stated material: new wool, silk, silk warp. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

Where it fits

The rug is rectangular. At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.

The stated knot density is 700,000–799,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
